FRUIT BODY: Up to 2cm in diameter. Starting subglobose with a smooth inner surface and textured outer surface the fruiting body becomes more top shaped to flattened with an overall smoother appearance. FLESH: Buff with violaceous tints and very rubbery. SPORES: Hyaline, ellipsoid with 2 oil drops. HABITAT: Common in clusters on dead branches and logs especially Beech. SEASON: Common. Summer to winter. EDIBILITY: Inedible. |
